Introduction to GADIP3 Mission: “To provide precise positioning for everyone…”
Common User Provide a quick position
Provide an intuitive interface
…and access to many options!
Advanced User Provide an accurate position
Provide real-time information
…and store all GNSS data!
Video Demo
NTRIP implemented
Decode RTCM SSR-messages:
• 1060 (GPS)
• 1243 (Galileo)
Features
• Function-oriented tabs
• Smooth page transition
• Enabling post-processing
Pedestrian tests Different scenarios has been
used for validation purposes.
Test #1 (left)
• Galileo-only
• Dual-frequency
• Morning time
Test #2 (right)
• GPS + Galileo
• Dual-frequency
• Evening time
Static tests settings DATE: 24th of June 2019
LOCATION: geodetic pillar on rooftop
MODES:
- GPS L1 or L5 or L1+L5
- Galileo E1 or L5 or E1+E5a
- GPS+Galileo L1/E1
- GPS+Galileo L1/E1+L5/E5a
Cutoff mask at 7.5° elevation, and discards data
if C/N0 [dB-Hz] <20 (L1/E1), <17 (L5/E5a)
Static tests results GPS SF (L1) GPS+GAL DF
Number of available observations
increases substantially
Higher repeatability is achieved
with a GPS+Galileo DF solution
Quality of raw measurements
is the key factor for a robust
and precise positioning
Conclusions
• The access to dual-frequency raw measurements is paving the way
towards new frontiers for smartphone-based positioning.
• GADIP3 provides a complete GNSS positioning framework for everyone.
• Modularity allows user-friendly and easy selection of several options.
GADIP3 is the user-driven app
on the edge of GNSS technology.
Future Works
• Further tests needed on different Android
smartphones and/or GNSS chipsets.
Version 1.1.2.1 has been now
released on Google Play Store!
• Activation of the PPP algorithm, along with
improvements for the Iono-estimation.
