Materials:

Activities:After going through the presentation with the teacher and reading the story choose a character for your fraction story.You will be creating your own fraction story using voki.com.Due to the word count limitations in each voki, you may need to do a few vokis for you story to complete it. you can call them: voki1, voki 2 and so on.Include the following :1- story about fraction (voki 1)2- the new maths words and the meaning (voki 2)3- the solution for your word problem (voki 3)Be creativeStudents will be judged on the story, the choice of the character and the creativity.

One day the fraction ruler called 10/7 held a party and invited all the fractions in his territory.

He chose 3/5 and ¼ to be in charge.

of course 3/5 invited her friends 2/5 and 4/5. 2/5 brought her husband 6/5 with her. 3/5 brought her husband 7/5 and her son 1/5.¼ came with her family 5/4, ¾ and 7/4.

All the fractions invited were having a great time and they enjoyed the food especially the pizza.Until they were asked to answer some questions:

What is the numerator?

What is the name of the ruler ?

What is the denominator?

¼ came with her family 5/4, ¾ and 7/4.

How many fourths were there at the party?

Now 3/5 and ¼ were cutting some pizzas.How many were cutting pizzas?

After that they all ate dessert and left home.

Now it’s you turn to make up a story fraction using voki.
