GOALS:
• explain why we ought to worship God alone
• identify ways of seeking God’s kingdom
• write one’s experience on worshipping/not worshipping God
JESUS:
“Do not store up treasure for yourself
here on earth where moth or rust can
destroy it and where thieves can steal
it.”
JESUS:
“No one can serve two masters; for he
will either hate one and love the other,
or he will be loyal to the first and look
down on the second. You cannot at the
same time serve God and money.”
What do you think does this
mean?
• Jesus knows our needs. He gives
people what they need.
• But sometimes people tend to forget
this.
What are example of false
gods?• Idolatry
• Money
• Fame
• Knowledge
• Honor for oneself
They tend to focus more on
what gives them temporary
pleasure and happiness, like
the false gods.
JESUS said:
“If we are so attached to money
and other material things, we
begin to love them more than
God.”
“I, the Lord, am your God. You shall not have other gods besides Me.”
Why do we need to worship
God alone?
He loves us.
He created us.
He gives us the necessary things for
us to sustain our lives.
He sent His Son to save us.
He opens the way for us to go to
heaven.
