This meant the boats would travel to Gourock
The ferry operator, cal-mac said work would be completed in February
Residents on the Isle of Bute feel inconvenienced at this change.
A date for completion of the harbor is not yet known
For the foreseeable, islanders must travel over two hours to reach the mainland
