SO WHAT EVEN IS THE EXCRETORSYSTEM

e excretory system is the body system in charge of releasing waste from theody. This discharge of waste plays a main part in making sure your body is inconstant state of homeostasis. This system contains the following gans: lungs, kidneys, urinary bladder, ureter, urethra, liver and skin.

ORGANS INVOLVED

his system contains the following organs: lungs, kidneys, urinary adder, ureter, urethra, liver and skin.

UNGSe lungs participate in the

xcretory system by xpelling CO2 from the body.

IDNEYSe kidneys filter toxins out of e blood and excrete it into e bladder.

RINARYLADDERollects urine and sends it out the body through the

ethra.

urinarybladder

RETERopel urine from the kidneys to e urinary bladder.

RETHRArries urine from the urinary bladder t of the body.

urethra

VEReaks down complex toxins in the dy and create bile.

KINcrete sweat to maintain a constant dy temperature.

INTERACTION WITHTHE CIRCULATORY SYSTEM

ood is circulated through kidneys and toxins are filtered out. From the dneys, toxins are sent to the urinary bladder to be expelled from the body.

FUN FACT: BLOOD CIRCULATES

THEROUGH THE KIDNEYS 300 TIMES A

DAY

INTERACTION WITH THENDOCRINE SYSTEM

e Endocrine System releases hormones that make kidneys increase or ecrease water absorption. This impacts the amount of urine produced.

FUN FACT: HUMANS PEE 5-10 TIMES

PER DAY

DISEASES OTHE EXRETORY SYSTEM

KIDNEY FAILUREcondition in which the kidneys lose e ability to remove waste and alance fluids. There are five different pes of kidney ilure, including Chronic Intrinsicdney Failure.

BLADDER CANCERCancer that begins in the bladder. Bladder cancer begins mosoften in the cells that line the inside othe bladder. Bladder cancer typicaaffects older adults, though it can occur at any age.

FUN FACT: KIDNEY STONES CAN GROW

TO BE THE SIZE OF GOLF BALLS.

IMPACTS OF ENVIRONMENTAFACTOR

LEAD IN WATERauses harm by overworking the dneys. When an excess of lead is esent in what the body consumes

water), the kidneys have to put in xtra effort to filter it out.

SMOKE IN AIRCauses harm by clogging pores in the skin. This triggers a reduction in thamount of sweat being released which endangers the body's homeostasis.
