1.4 VENUE
The climatic health resort Schluchsee is found on the same lake in the middle of the Black Forest 930-1300 meters. The largest lake in the Black Forest, it is also the water sports centre and for years, one of the
cleanest lakes in Germany.
The former glacial lake was dammed about 80 years ago and thus formed the highest reservoir in Germany. The lake has become the swimming and water sports centre in the southern Black Forest. This will also
benefit anglers, divers, surfers and sailors who can find great sports options on the Schluchsee. In the
8
summer, peace seekers can enjoy the long beaches while the water park ‘aqua fun’ is a meeting place for
the younger generations. The heated outdoor pool, located right on the lake, offers among other things, a
105-foot water slide, a lazy river and a children's adventure playground. The beautiful landscape around the lake is the perfect place for beautiful hiking and biking tours. Schluchsee
also contributed to this 18 km path around the lake, which leads directly along the water. Schluchsee is also connected to the middle Black Forest and since 2008 with the Gorge trail. The trail system has added 160
kilometres. In the Black Forest holiday region, over 300km are signposted for mountain bikers and cyclists
with routes ranging from comfortable to sporty and suitable for various tire widths.
TNatura at Schluchsee is a great challenge and an arduous completion: a course along the wilderness of the
Black Forest, which requires good preparation by the athletes as well as ability to control their forces. The competition begins in the dammed lake of Schluchsee, continues inside the forest in an ambitious and varied
up- and downhill route, and finally becomes more compelling when the athletes will run along the hidden and fascinating trails of the black forest.
1.5 DOPING CONTROL
Doping Control will be performed according tot he ITU/WADA rules.
1.6 ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
The participant should behave respectfully in the interests of the environment protection. Garbage (gel

Authorities and in accordance with the laws of the DTU German triathlon federation, provides a General Safety Plan, to ensure minimum standards of safety and first aid. The Safety Plan and the Service Order will
