SEZ (Economic Zone) code amendments:

• 1. Currently the only SEZ code used on e@syfile is ZAR (South Africa). The SEZ codes will be updated to:

• ZAR

• COE – Coega

• DTP – Dube Trade Port

• EAL – East London

• MAP – Maluti-A-Phafung

• SLB – Saldanha Bay

• RIB – Richards Bay

• 2. The codes will be available on both the Employer capture screen as well as the Employee capture screens.

Employers within the identified designated SEZ areas may claim ETI for employees’ who mainly work within the designated SEZ areas regardless of the age of the employee. The change will be

applied as follows:

If employer SEZ code (code 2083) or employee SEZ code (3264) is not on list or the YOA is less than 2019 or

YOA is 2019 and period is less than 08 then:If employee’s age for the specified month is greater

than / equal to 18 but less than 30 then this field MAYbe greater than zero (0.00)

If employee’s age for the specified month is less than 18 or greater than / equal to 30 then this field MUST be

zero (0.00)

If employer SEZ code (code 2083) and employee SEZ code (3264) is on the list and YOA is 2019 and month is

greater than 07 or YOA is greater than 2019 then:The age rule does not apply and 7004 may be greater

than 0.00
