Fat and salt may be the prevailing image; however, well-made burgers contain the needed nutrients from the three recommended food groups.
Firstly, burgers contain the carbohydrates needed for the day’s energy production. A whole wheat grain bun provides those carbohydrates along with the fiber to aid its digestion.
Secondly, burgers provide vegetables for taste and nutrition. Spinach, tomatoes, and mushrooms provide the vitamins needed for growth and maintenance of organs and tissue.
