• Purpose: Design a mock up Direct Mail piece to benefit and promote the adoption process at THS.

Campaign name: “What’s in a name?”Campaign strategy: Use two-pronged strategy. The first package will

highlight the personal story of Emerson, a kitten who was adopted by Danielle Arnold from the Humane Society told by the President of THS Tim Treow. The second package will serve as an update on Emerson, told by Danielle Arnold.

Incentive: Animal tag; invite potential donors to meet the pet whose name is on the tag

• Objectives: Generate a 6% response rate existing donors• Generate a 1.2% response rate from prospective donors• Raise funds for the Toronto Humane Society to care for

sick, injured and unwanted animals• Increase the number of pets adopted in the 2009 winter

season by 1% • Entice a minimum of 25 mail recipients to visit one of the

Toronto Humane Society’s shelters with animal name tag to try and make a connection with one of the shelter animals
