Human X-ray

The human hand is made up of 27 bones. X-ray imagesallow specially trained doctors called radiologists to lookinside of you and make sure everything is okay.

Dog X-ray

Dogs go to pet doctors called veterinarians for X-rays,but they take the same kinds of images people doctorsdo to look inside of them.

Skeleton

Your skeleton is made up of 206 bones. It gives youshape, support and protection.

MRI

MRI is short for Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Thismachine uses strong magnets to take pictures of yourbody's internal organs.

CT

CT is short for Computed Tomography. This machineuses X-rays to create images of the inside of yourbody.

Radiologist

A radiologist is a doctor who treats patients usingimaging such as X-rays, CTs and MRIs. Radiologistscomplete at least 13 years of training and oftenbecome specialists in areas such brains or hearts.

Technologist

A technologist helps the radiologist by performing theimaging tests. They work directly with patients tomake sure they are always safe and comfortable.
