Setting  up  Your  WordPress  Account    

1. Go  to  www.wordpress.com                  

2. Scroll  down  the  page  and  click  on  “Create  Blog”      

3. On  the  drop  down  menu,  select  category  of  education:

4. Choose  a  theme:  Make  sure  it’s  free…that  is,  don’t  pay  for  anything.    

5. Find  a  domain:    This  will  be  the  title  of  your  blog.  Choose  something  that  short  and  that  you  can  remember.    Choose  the  “free”  option  here

6. Pick  a  plan:  Choose  the  free  Option:      

7. Create  Your  Account:

8. Verify  Your  Account  by  checking  your  email  address:

9. This  is  the  dashboard:  the  left  menu  allow  you  to  add  pages  and  posts.

10.  Next,  we’re  going  to  create  a  new  page,  and  we’ll  upload  your  assignments  from  English  69:  

• On  the  left  menu,  click  on  “pages    add”    

• Entitle  the  page:  English  69  Homework  Assignments  • Click  on  “Add  Media”  • Click  on  “Select  Files”  • Find  the  file  from  your  flash  drive  • Click  on  “Insert  into  Post”  in  the  lower  right  corner  • Click  on  “Save  Draft.  

 Add  the  following  files  to  this  page:    

1. Homework  from  9/9:  2  paragraphs,  one  where  you  discuss  one  of  your  goals  and  the  other  where  you  reflect  on  your  experience  using  computers,  Title  this  the  following:  HW  from  9/9:  Goals
