Write a six word presentation memoir to share with the group. For example:

Activity/Discussion 1: Stepping up to the mic
Even though you have analyzed, outlined, and practiced, it can still be daunting to step up to the microphone. How do you feel when you think about the actual moment of beginning a presentation? Why?

6 rules: What to wear when speaking
1. Dress as well or slightly better than the audience
2. Dress consistently with brand/culture3. Dress to feel like a million dollars4. Dress in something that allows you to move5. Dress like a grown up6. Dress strategically
Color PsychologyRed: Powerful, intense
Black: Serious, authority, power
Green: Growth, profitability, prosperity, abundance, dependable
Yellow: Warmth, happiness, possibly also anger or frustration
Blue: Peace, security, trust
Pink: Shock, inspire
Purple: Creative, forward thinking, intellect
Brown: Warmth, comfort, security
A Few Tips

toward people7. Point directly to draw attention to presentation

In this section, we’ve discussed clothing, body language, and voice. Of these three, which is the most difficult for you to feel comfortable with? Why?

Assignment #2
Based on Assignment #1, you will be building 3 components:• An interactive introduction activity at the beginning of your
presentation• A discussion question for at least one of your 3-5 main
points in your presentation• An appropriate concluding or follow-through activity at the
end of your presentation
