Enduring Understandings

Distinguished by virtuosity with which materials are used and presented.

The sea is a major theme of Pacific art, as it both separates and connects the lands and peoples of the Pacific.

Pacific arts are an expression of beliefs, social relations, essential truths, and a compilation of information.

Pacific Arts are performed (danced, sung, recited, displayed) in an array of colors, scents, textures and movements which enact stories and convey truths.
