Step by Step Email Broadcast

using INFUSIONSOFT

To Send an Email Broadcast

to Your Social Media Followers

1.Go to Marketing

> Broadcasts in the master nav.

2.Click

EMAIL icon

3.Choose the recipients

using one (or a combination of)

the following options:

• Saved Search- Select a list from

the drop-down

• New Search - Click on the link to enter

search criteria.

• Quick Add - Click on the link to add a new

contact record.

• Import - Click on the link to import a list before you send the broadcast.

4.clickNEXT

5.Compose your email

or choose from an existing email template.

• Compose a new email:

If you don't have a template, then click the Edit Email Body button to create a new email.

• Choose an email template:

Click on the Choose a Template button to select a saved

template.

You can search for a template by name, select a draft you started

earlier, or choose a message you've already sent. 

Click on Preview to look at a template, and click on Use

This to select it. Note that you can edit the email

before sending it;

however, the edits are temporary (for this

message only), they do not permanently

update the template.

6.Click Next

7.Review the required items and mark the checkbox(es) to agree

to the Acceptable Use Policy and confirm you have permission to

email the people on this list.

8.Optional Items

Choose from the following optional items:

• Track Opens:

The system will report how many people opened the broadcast

email as long as the email is in HTML format.

This is marked by default. 

• Send After

Mark this option to schedule the broadcast for a specific date and

time in the future. Once a broadcast is scheduled, the list no longer updates- no one is added or removed from

the list.

For this reason, you may not want to schedule a broadcast too far in advance of the scheduled

send date.

• Send Completion Notification

By default, the system sends a completion notification to the

user who schedules the broadcast.

You can remove the checkmark to disable the notification or change the email address to

send it to someone else.

• Only send to confirmed email addresses

This option will send the broadcast email only to contacts with confirmed email addresses.

9.(Optional)

Share the broadcast email with your social networks.

In addition to sending this email to the recipients you've already selected, you may also socially share it with your friends and

followers.

10.Click Send to send or schedule

the broadcast. 

Note :that most broadcasts are sent

within a few minutes, but it can take up to 2 hours.

You can monitor the broadcast using the

Email Batch Status report.

11.(Optional)

After you complete a broadcast

you can click on Save this batch as an email template

to save the email to your template library (Marketing >

Templates) for future use.
