This was my Power Point at EdTech 2009 in Ashland, Virginia where I try to show that the advantages of Wikipedia outweigh the negatives and that banning Wikipedia is the wrong thing to do.

Wikipedia isn’t perfect, but neither is anything else.Students should be taught this, not banned from it.

Even if students do not cite Wikipedia in a paper, it is very possible they used Wikipedia to find information anyway. Facing this reality, instructors should teach students about the validity of every research resources.
