Acts 3: 14-15 Matt. 26-28

Acts 3:14-15 But ye denied the Holy One and

the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; [15] And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

Acts 3: 14-15 Matt. 26-28

Luke 22:24 And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest.

John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto

you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have

love one to another.

John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Luke 22:44 And being in an agony he

prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering…

thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men…

Isaiah 53:5-6 But he was wounded for our

transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. [6] All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Daniel 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off…

Zech. 13:6 And one shall say unto him,

What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.

Luke 2:49 … wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?

John 12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto

you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

Matthew 16:21 From that time forth began Jesus

to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

Matthew 17:22-23 And while they abode in Galilee,

Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men: [23] And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.

Matthew 20:17-19 Jesus … took the twelve disciples apart in

the way, and said unto them, [18] Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, [19] And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.

John 18:3-5 Judas then, having received a

band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons. [4] Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth,

and said unto them, Whom seek ye? [5] They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.

Isaiah 53:7He was oppressed, and he was

afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

Hebrews 10:26-29 For if we sin wilfully after that

we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, [27] But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries…of how

much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

Crucifixion Scene Investigation

John 19:40 Then took they the body

of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.

Matthew 27:62 Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,

63 Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.

64 Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.

65 Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.

66 So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.

Matthew 28:2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.

Luke 24:1-8 Now upon the first day of the

week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. [2] And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.

[3] And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. [4] And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: [5] And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto

them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. And they remembered his

words…

John 20:2-8 Then she runneth, and cometh

to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.

[3] Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre. [4] So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. [5] And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.

[6] Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie,

[7] And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.

[8] Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed.

Matthew 28:11-15 Now when they were going,

behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done. [12] And when they were assembled with the

elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, [13] Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. [14] And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.

[15] So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

Acts 6:7 And the word of God

increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

John 10:10 … I am come that they

might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

John 5:40 And ye will not come to

me, that ye might have life.

John 20:31 But these are written, that

ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
