Męcinka is very interesting and amazing place. There’s historical obelisk, Kalwaria and many trails. But I want tell you about ,,Domek Pustelnika’’.

It’s huge tree. It’s located in the mixed forest, next to path to Kalwaria. It’s look a little scary and interesting. That big tree- Tilia, It’s empty inside because It was burned. Lightning struck it twice, but tree still alive!

According to legend, inside tree lived a nun, which protected Męcinka against dangers. She prayed all days. One day to nun came the devil and he tempted her, but she still prayed. The devil started destroy tree. The nun sacrificed herself and burned tree. But burned tree still alive and protect our village. The nun became White Lady and she still walk in the woods praying.

,,Domek Pustelnika’’ is very popular tourist attraction. People love do pictures inside tree, when they go on top of Kalwaria.
