• Doctors Without Borders is an organization providing emergency medical care.

• Doctors Whithout Borders was received the Nobel Peace Prize 1999

Birth and organization• Doctors Without Borders was created December 22, 1971 by the French

doctors.• It is currently active in 19 countries and is involved in activities of service

centers in over 80 countries.• Doctors Without Borders is comprised of five sections operating in

France, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Spain and support them with:

• fundraising activities;• recruitment of volunteers;• information on the media;

The mission• Doctors Without Borders does not pose discrimination

based on race, religion, sex or opinion.• Currently Doctors Without Borders-Italy is involved in two

important objectives:• to give up the pharmaceutical company "Novartis" to win a

lawsuit that wants to limit the economic and quality medicines in poor countries.

• with the action "tell me more" want to give more space to what happens in poor countries, through the TG and newspapers
