DESCRIPTION

Darcy goes to the airport only to find that the rules of logic do not apply in this strange world.

Transcript

Darcy Arrives with 30 minutes to spare at the Southbend Airport in Southbend, Indiana.

I will check yourbags here.

The next plane leaves in 3 hours.

These are the rules.

The rules are illogical.

I am here and I can see my plane through that window, still parked at the gate.

Therefore, I did not miss my plane.

There are 30 minutes until the plane leaves. It will take me 5 minutes to get on the plane. Logically, I am able to get on the plane.

You missed your plane.

There is a $50 re-routing fee.

You may keep one.

I guess I’ll go work on my knitting.

The rules of logic and reason didn’t seem to apply at the airport, so Darcy resigned herself to her 3 hour wait. She looked for the stairs in hopes of getting a little exercize, but could only find escalators...

At the security check, her food and water were taken, as were her knitting needles.

In the confusion, she forgot her lucky cowgirl boots.

Safely passed Security, Darcy was amazed at the world she discovered. It was a world filled with people waiting for planes and all were occupied with eating, drinking, shopping or reading the newspaper.

Without her knitting needles, Darcy had nothing else to do.So, she ventured out into this strange Airport World.

She shopped for a brand new outfit and a brand new travel bag with wheels that would fit her old clothes and old bag. (Her old carry-on had become too heavy to carry!)

She even had time for a meal : Fried Chicken, French Fries and Soda Pop.

Exhausted, she retired to the airport bar and treated herself to a martini.

As she made her way to her gateon the moving sidewalk Darcy was not thinking of the $300 she spent unneccessarilynor the lapse of reason that lead to her afternoon in the strange Airport World.

By then, it was time to catch her plane.

In fact, she thought of nothing asshe continued on her journey.

Through revolving doors she went....

...then, took a short ride on the People Mover...

...and down the gangway to her plane at last.

As it turns out, Darcy didn’t need logic or reason to survive at the Southbend Airport.

She just need to go with the flow of traffic.

Darcy felt a great relief to finally be safe in seat 35c. She no longer cared about the $50 re-routing fee or the 3 hour wait. All she wanted was another Martini.
