To paint a straight line hold the down the SHIFT key

The airbrush options acts the same as a real airbrush - if you hold down the mouse

button while your brush is set to 50% it will increase eventually to 100%.

Create a New Document with the following specifications:

Size: 8” x 8”Resolution: 300 ppiColor Mode: RGB

Save As: your first name 9 portrait brush.psd

Step 1. Take a self-portrait in Photobooth. Use normal settings.

Step 2. Import the image into your New document.

Step 3. Use Transform controls to expand the image to fill the canvas.

Step 4. Save the layer as portrait and lock the layer.

Step 5. Create a New Layer and begin painting in shadows.
