• "The Boy Scout Statue". My father remembered seeing it in 1944.On his return to Tacloban in 1979 the Boy Scout

Statue was missing! My father found it in a galvanized shed in bad condition missing the hand that held the staff. He

organized the restoration of the Statue before it was replaced in its 1944 position on Coca Cola Corner.It was unveiled fully

restored on 18 October, 1989.Photo shows my father with the statue in 1987 and the unveiling of it restored in 1989. •
