for three weeks already.

It all started a year ago while I was cleaning and organizing some old

shelves in my father’s museum. While sorting through the boxes, I made an incredible discovery—an old leather-

bound journal.

The journal was in poor condition,

with missing pages.

This is a journal from my brother, your Uncle Harry.

He disappeared a few years ago while on a photo journey in a jungle of South America. We haven’t heard from him since he sent us the journal.

Yes, the box was labelled

“Brazil.”

I must have misplaced it in

storage.

He seems to have kept this journal during his travels. Harry

would go for long periods of time, so we were used to that. But it’s been so long since we

last heard from him. I’ve often wondered what happened to him. Perhaps he returned to this site.

Hmm, this journal shows drawings of

tropical foilage. But the most surprising are the drawings of

dinosaurs, bones, and a gold statue.

I contacted two of my best friends and we decided to go exploring

during our summer school holidays.

We didn’t know at the time that someone overheard us talk about the

journal and the gold.

And there’s a drawing of a large gold

statue.

Wow, dinosaurs

Yes, boss, a big statue of gold …

My father found old letters from his brother giving some indication of where he went.

Because the thieves didn’t know where the place was, they continued to spy on us and

followed us all the way to Brazil. And so our adventure began.

According to the journal, as we approach the Twin Mountains, we should see

the Uroumpami swamp. The dinosaur graveyard is there.

Don’t be discouraged. By

Early the next morning, after a good breakfast and tidying up the camp, we

continued on our search.

Look! The Uroumpami

Swamp. Right where it’s shown

the journal.

It’s drying up.

dinosaur bones!

Amazing! The receding water level is exposing

the bones.

There are so many!

Let’s take lots of photos now. Later

we can return with the truck.

Suddenly …

A giant bird!

That’s not a giant bird,

that’s a ... a …

… a Pteranodon! A live

Pteradonon!

So live dinosaurs still exist here. Just like it

says in the journal.

The journal shows a small opening in the cliff. It looks like we then pass through a maze,

which will lead to an entrance guarded by two dinosaur statues. It seems that leads to a

hidden valley.

Meanwhile, not too far from us, two men are making plans.

And we will be

rich, boss!

The journal also has

pictures of giant spiders.

Giant spiders?

That doesn’t sound good.

C’mon boys, who’s afraid of a few tiny spiders! Let’s go

explore.

We must find this valley first and get the gold

statue.

So boss, what do we

to give it a try and enter the passage in search of the hidden

valley.

spiders, small or giant.
