DESCRIPTION

This presentation will explain how the future of innovation is not in the creation of new software platforms but the arrival at several de facto options that will create certain standards. These standards will allow for developers to develop apps focused on smart content as opposed to the system that manages it; in other words, the development of platform standards will result in an apps-plosion. Points of discussion will include solutions developed to address the standardization issue, the four generations of digital signage evolution (from scheduled content playlists to dynamic smart content and loops driven by schedulable apps) and a deeper look into the types of smart content that respond to time-sensitive and contextual factors in the environment.
