MoD has reduced excessive ammunitions from90 000 tons in 2004 year to 7075 tons in 2013 year

• In 2012 were destroyed and recycled 336 tons of excessive and dangerous ammunitions

• Last year were sold more than 8 775 tons of excessive ammunitions

•Two ammunition depots were reduced

Recommendations:

- improve physical security- improve physical conditions of the depots - update SOPs with most recent national /international best practices- obtain capability to conduct chemical analysis on ammunitions

DTRA General Impression

Incident near ”Petoluchkata”

05 Jun 2012; 3 PAX died and 15 injured; around 160 tons exploded due to distortion of the process of utilization;250 000 euro were spent for the cleaning area
