STEP 5: SYSTEM UPDATES BASED ON NEW FEATURES
REQ POSTING RULES
The following areas need to be checked to ensure they are configured correctly to allow requisitions to post out to
the Cyber Recruiter controlled web pages.
A. Requisition Status Codes (Admin > Codes > Req Status Codes). Ensure any code which should be posted
out to the website starts with the word OPEN for the code or have the code “O”.
a. If it does not, change the description of the old code and add a new code with the proper
scheme.
b. Then review any current openings and change the status to the new corrected status.
B. Posting Dates (Requisition > Main Page). Review the posting dates on the Main page of the requisition to
ensure the job will be posted to the correct website publicly. If the dates are not correct, update the dates
using the following guidelines to ensure proper posting to the correct websites. If any date is left blank
the system will assume it should post to the website if the requisition is open.
a. Date Internally Posted = Date this job should be posted to the Self Service module for employees
b. Date Externally Posted = Date this job should be viewable for applicants
c. Remove Posting = Date this job should no longer show to the website if the job is still open in
Cyber Recruiter.
C. Posting Rules (Admin > Page Builder > Requisition > Create Requisition). If using the Auto Post (aka Auto
Open) feature, review the new settings in the setup to ensure new requisitions requested will post
automatically to the correct sites at the given times. If the date should not be automatically populated,
leave the field blank. If the field should be the same day as the approval, put 0 (zero) for the value.
a. Status = Status this job should be assigned to after being approved
b. Open Date = number of days after the job is approved it should be officially open
c. Date Posted Internally = number of days after the job is approved it should be posted to the Self
Service module for employee submission.

kind. Only use this field if your jobs are only open for a set number of days (15, 30, 60, etc.)
CONFIGURE REQUISITION AND APPLICANT POP-UP WINDOWS
The following area is new to Cyber Recruiter and should be configured (at least with base information) to ensure
activation of this new feature. This window of information will appear when a user is in either a requisition or
applicant file and moves the mouse over the job title or the applicant name.

DOCUMENTED RELEASE NOTES
This document contains the following items which have been added to Cyber Recruiter in Version 7.0.0. The
following list includes any features which will result in a client impact, features request by clients or features added
to Cyber Recruiter which we want to bring to your attention.
USER INTERFACE
Cyber Recruiter Version 7.0 includes an update to the user interface. The applicant view stays the same but the
core system used on a daily basis by Recruiters and Managers has been updated. Below is a quick list of the
changes so you can begin to get familiar.
1. New 'Recent Items' feature has been added which will store the last 5 applicants and last 5 requisitions
each user has viewed. To access the list, click on the button titled 'Recent Items'. With the addition of
this feature, the option for 'Last Applicant' and 'Last Requisition' has been removed.
2. A new searching tool has been added to quickly search the list of applicants and requisitions based on key
characters. A search box will be present on the various pages and typing in 'CA', for example, will result in
records where the applicant name, requisition title, or requisition code has CA in the field.
3. A new quick reference pop-up menu has been added to the Applicant and Requisition page header. This
pop-up view is designed to display information which might be nested in various pages of Cyber Recruiter
so the user can get quick access to the information. The fields displayed in the pop-up window are
configured in each system of Cyber Recruiter in the Admin > Page Builder section.
4. The Side Menu Bar in the Applicant and Requisition File have been removed and have been replaced with
a drop-down menu item at the top of the file to provide more room in the file and consistency through all
pages.
5. Red arrow icons used to navigation through lists in the Requisition and Applicant file have been replaces
with more prominent blue icons for quick scrolling through records.
6. Find Applicant feature now takes you straight into the Applicant's File when the result is only one
Applicant and not multiple.
7. The right-click features to view the resume or sent an email has been removed. If this was a feature you
were using and want to maintain, this should be added to the Applicant Pop-Up feature via the Admin >
Page Builder section. Adding this will allow the user to hover of the Applicant's name from any page and
see this information.
8. Applicant Note & Applicant Correspondence pages have been re-designed to consolidate the entries for
quick access to the desired record. In addition, there is a details column which is a hover-over field where
the user can quickly see the details without having to edit the individual record.

PROCESSES
1. CLIENT IMPACT: The fields used to determine the job posting have been changed. This is a significant
change as the field for 'Posted' has been removed and the determination is now based on the status of
the requisition and the following date fields. Any status with the code beginning with OPEN or the code O
will be considered a viable job to post out to the Careers or Agency Portals. The system will then use the
following fields to determine when to post to the company-wide job listing page or to the applicant and
employee views of the self service module. If a date is left blank the system will automatically post to the
website based solely on the status of the requisition.
Last Updated: March 11, 2011 Cyber Recruiter 7.0: Release Guide P a g e | 17
Date Posted Internally = Date the job should be seen by employees in the Self Service module
Date Posted Externally = Date the job should be seen on the company-wide job listing page as well as
the applicant view of the Self Service Module.
Remove Posting = Date the job should be or was removed from posting
To make this process easier and automate, a new tab has been added to the Req Creation Process via the
Page Builder section. This section is used in conjunction with the 'Auto Open' field. If this field is set to
yes, then when the approval process is complete, the status will change to the designated status, the
open date will be completed and the organization can specific when the remaining posting date should be
effective. For example, if the job should be posted for 3 days after the approval of the opening but before
the external posting, the Admin will be able to configure this as part of the creation process.
2. Upon closing a requisition, if the eQuest job posting feature is being used, eQuest will be notified to
remove the job from all job boards.
NOTE: This is not currently part of the New Hire Process. So, if you are using eQuest and the New
Hire Process, be sure to leave the requisition open as part of the On-Boarding and then to
manually close via the requisition Main page. Expansion of this feature will be included in
version 7.2.
