Cuba is a communist country under the rule of Raul Castro.

Cuba declared it's independence from Spain on February 15, 1898. The battle lasted for two years, eleven months, three weeks, and a day.

Cuba's Currency and Major Religion

Cuba's major religion is called Afro-Cuban.

Cuba's currency is the Cuban Peso (CUP)

Cuba's Flag and it's Meaning:

The blue bands represent the three military districts of colonial Cuba - oriental, central, and occiental. The two white bands stand for the purity of the patriotic cause. Red symbolizes the blood shed in the struggle for independence. The white star is called "La Estralla Solitaria," and it represents independence and freedom. The triangle stands for equality, consistency and strength.
