•  Examine pictures and examples

•  Brainstorm ways to use them in your classrooms

Why Visual Supports? à Build background knowledge and make

connections à Make abstract concepts more concrete

à Make learning more meaningful

à Make instruction more comprehensible

Remember…

Visual Supports are an example of scaffolding.
