We call the court to order when we see a brother doing
wrong
We set up heavy standards to make him belong
He’s doing what comes naturally,
we can’t see his heart
God works on the inside and meets us where we are
If we stand in judgment, we get what we
give
Who will rule in our favor
when the pain comes home to
live?
Let’s call for court
intercession
Pray for your brother,
forgive all his deeds
See a soul who’s
hurting
Look past his faults
Take the black robe off
Present your case to God
Court intercession
We stand here with chalk in hand
Ready to draw the line
We see our sister stumble
We say, “She’s no friend of mine!”
She doesn’t need a lawyer,
a jury,
or a judge
She needs our arms around her
Someone to show her
love
We’re in the business of healing souls
and binding wounds
Let’s think before we cast a stone,
We may be hurting too
Christ intercedes
for us
He never gives up
on us
Jesus has announced
“Case dismissed!”
There is no guilty verdict
He declares us innocent
