Why is it called “Table Wine”

Method of removing unwanted bacteria from wine could replace sulfite addition.
By W. Blake Gray
• German project led by an
American PhD for The University of
Arkansas.
• Uses high pressure Argon to burst
the cells of bacteria
• Seeps into living microbes.
Pressure is decreased, gas rapidly
expands, bursting through bacteria
that might have been hiding in the
wine.
• In wine tastings the taste is not
affected.
• similar process to decompression
sickness in scuba divers.
NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN WINEMAKING
SPINNING CONE COLUMN
REVERSE OSMOSISMICRO-
OXYGENATION
Wine is made from grape
and is gluten-free but……
• High risk of cross contaminations
• Additions of coloring or flavoring
• Wheat paste used by coopers
• Both can add a tiny amount of
gluten to the finished wine.
• Perhaps in the range of 1 to 2
parts per million.
• Most people won't notice
symptoms from this but the most
sensitive will.
