Entrance Age

Kindergarten Requirements:Your child must turn 5 years

of age before August 31st, 2021

Students are expected to enter Kindergarten at age 5.

Registration Process

Online Registration

● Begins Monday February 8th, 2021

Please register by Friday, February 26th

● The same registration link will be used for new and returning WPS families.

Registration Documents

● Original and copy of student birth certificate● Registering parent/guardian with official identification● Proof of residence: one from each Column● Health: Copy of yearly physical and updated

immunizations document (U.S.physician)

After RegistrationEnglish Language Learner Screening

● Students who speak a language other than English at home, will be given an appointment at registration to come for a language screening in March. The screening will determine if English Language (EL) services are needed.

K Screening

● This is an opportunity for staff to get to know your child as a learner and children to spend time in classrooms. More information to follow.
