Becoming a community to reach a community 

Prayer what God uses empower our lives

Showing Through The story is told of a little girl who had a burning question on the way home from church.  She said, “mommy, the pastor today said that God is bigger than we are.  He also said that God lives inside of us.  If all that is true, won’t He show through?”  Life is better when our first goal is that Jesus show through in our responses and in our conduct.  Why not make September a “show through” month in our home and in our witness for Christ where  ever we are and in whatever we do?

Ministry Planning Meeting— September 5,  6:30 pm 

We need your help in planning for the future.  You’re input is helpful in fulfilling the vision of reaching our community for Christ.  See Cindy Hepting if  have any questions regarding this vital event planning meeting.  

                               Best Year’s Fellowship — September. 10                                       We have a great group of seniors that meet 

                                      on  the second Tuesday of each month.  The next meeting will be Sept. 10th for a potluck lunch.   See Dan VanHoosen for more information. 

Bigger and Better— 

September 11 This youth event will inspire our group to buy into the vision that God has bigger and better things in store for our lives and church this year.  Bring all your friends! 

PORTLAND YOUTH CONNECT—SEPTEMBER 18TH —  

THEME—Comfort Zones— 7 to 9 pm 

It a time of celebration!   Come to Sunday School and support the young people as they are promoted to their next class.  There will fun and challenge for all ages.  See Janet Conyers for more info.

FELLOWSHIP DINNER— September 15 

Following the AM Service 

Please bring lots of food to share so we can invite all our guests to stay and connect with others over a meal.  Use this as an outreach event and invite your friends! 

Board Retreat— September 20 

We will take Friday evening and Saturday to camp and discuss the future.  

 Men’s Breakfast and all church work day September 28—come and help keep God’s house beautiful. 

September 12— 

6:30 PM — 

If you are newer to the church you are invited to the pastors home for an informal time of goodies and infor.  You will learn a little more about the church and next steps.
