MANAGEMENT CONSULTANCY

What is Code of Ethics ?A written set of guidelines issued by anorganization to its workers and management tohelp them conduct their actions

A guide of principles designed to helpprofessionals conduct business honestly and withintegrity.

A statement encompassing the set of rulesbased on values and the standards ofconduct to which practitioners of aprofession are expected to conform

The code sets out theprinciples of the ethicalpractice of managementconsulting. The purpose ofthis Code is to ensuremembers maintain theirprofessionalism and adhereto high ethical standardswhile providing services toclients and also in theirdealings with theircolleagues and thepublic.

> the practice of helping organizations to improve their performance, primarily through the analysis of existing organizational problems and development of plans for improvement

• Integrity

• Objectivity

• Professional Competence and due care

• Confidentiality

• Professional Behavior

• Technical Standards

Clients:

1. Serve clients with independence, honesty,integrity, competence and objectivity.

2. Keep client information and records ofclients engagements confidential and willuse proprietary client information onlywith client’s permission.

3. Will not take advantage of confidentialclient information

4. Before undertaking an engagement, discloseto the clients-prospective or existing- anyconflicts of interests whereby theknowledge of specific client actions andinformation risks compromising theirsuccess.

Engagements:

5. Accept only engagements for which arequalified by experience and competence.

6. Assign staff to client engagements inaccord with their experience, knowledge,and expertise.

7. Will immediately acknowledge anyinfluences on objectivity to clients andwill offer to withdraw from a consultingengagement when objectivity or integritymay be impaired.

Fees:

8. Agree independently and in advance on thebasis for fees and expenses and willcharge fees and expenses that arereasonable legitimate, and commensuratewith the services delivered and theresponsibility accepted.

9. Disclose to clients n advance any fees orcommissions that was expected to receivefor equipment, supplies, or servicesrecommended to clients.

Profession:

10. Respect the intellectual property rightsof clients, other consulting firms, andsole practitioners and will not useproprietary information or methodologieswithout permission.

11. Will not advertise services in adeceptive manner and will not misrepresentthe consulting profession, consultingfirms, or sole practitioners.

12. Will encourage reporting of violations ofthe code of ethics.
