Case Studies
Rajiv* was forced to drop out of school due to lack of resources. Rajiv has three younger sisters and his mother is the sole breadwinner of the family. When he heard about one of our supported program that aids slum children, child labourers and school dropouts to pursue education, he enrolled his sisters and himself in it. Rajiv is now appearing for his high school examination.
*Identities changed for privacy purpose
Mrs. Ramkrishna*, an engineer from Bangalore, started showing symptoms that reflected the imbalance of the mind due to the stress at work. She was brought to one of our Chennai-based programs that worked with her on communication, social skill and self-care. Over time, her condition improved and she is now receiving vocational training in flower making that will help her become self-sufficient.
Sunanda* and her family migrated from north Telangana to Hyderabad in the hope of better prospects. Her father died when she was 8 years old, after which she was unable to continue her education. Sunanda found out about a tailoring course run by one of our supported programmes and decided to joined it. Today, she takes stitching and embroidery orders at home and earns Rs 2000 per month.
