Christmas Hope Table TopperOr Tree Skirt
By Debi MontgomeryFabric Requirements
36 inch square
Firstly, What makes this a Christmas table topper are the fabrics. You can use your favourite colours or the colours of your kitchen to make a table topper for any time of the year. For the table topper or tree skirt, we will use the same pattern, we will just finish them differently. This topper is a square (made an easy conversion to the tree skirt), if you would prefer a rectangle, you may want to purchase more of the “light” colour to make more of the block where we use that colour.
I have given you the requirements in MY colours, you can adjust from there. Our largest single piece is a 6”x12” finished triangle, that may help you with the size of your print. My poinsettias are quite big and I love the way they worked into the pattern. You can EASILY swap the green and red prints and still have a wonderfully effective table topper/tree skirt.
You will need:
Cream stars: 1/8 yard (NO LESS! - make sure it is 4-1/2” please)Red print: at least 24” (if using fat quarters, I would have at least 4)Green: at least 1 yard (if using fat quarters, I would have at least 6)
