Late Submission for SBA work• Work during lessons and
submitted when time is up (e.g. Quiz/Lab. Worksheet): No late submission is accepted- ZERO mark
• Homework– 7:50a.m. on assigned date– 10% deduction (1 grade) for late
within 24hr.– Further 10% deduction for every
24hr.
Late Submission for HW• Work during lessons and submitted when
time is up (e.g. Quiz/Lab. Worksheet): No late submission is accepted- ZERO mark
• Homework, test corrections and others – on assigned date before 7:50a.m./during
class time as instructed
• eClass Assignment – follow deadline• Penalty
3 marks out of 10 marks (Term Mark) will be set aside for late submission. One allowance will be given and then 1 mark will be deduced for each time of late submission.
Absence for SBA assignment• Assessment during lesson:
– Justified absence (Medical Certificate or Pre-approved legitimate reason): NOT counted into assessment, i.e. other assessment results only
– Unjustified absence: Zero Mark– No make up assessment will be arranged
(except for single assessment VA task)
• ABS homework– Justified absence: No mark deducted– Unjustified absence: 10% deduction of
late within 24 hr., 10% for every 24hr.
Absence for other School HW
– To be submitted on the next school day personally to teacher (Before 7:50a.m.)
– Not considered Late with justifiable reasons
– No mark deducted.
Malpractice- Plagiarism• Presenting work completed (or partly
completed) by others or copied from others• Including material copied directly, in part or in
whole, from books or other sources without proper acknowledgement
• Consequence:– Warning : verbal or written ANDAND– Deduct marks ,or– Zero mark to task/ Whole SBA ,or even– Disqualification for subject / Whole DSE exam.
Standards and Reporting of Results
In setting standards for the HKDSE, Levels 4 and 5 will be set with reference to the standards achieved by students awarded grades A−D in the HKALE. the Level 5 candidates with the best performance(10% of Level 5) will have their results annotated with the symbols ** and the next top group(next 30%) with the symbol *.
