10 Points

In Science we use this to solve problems

Did you say?

What is the Scientific Method

20 Points

A testable prediction is

20 points

What is a Hypothesis

30 Points-What type of graph is this and what does it represent?

30 Points if you said

Line Graph and Gas emissions over time

40 Points- Name the type of graph and what it represents

40 Points

Bar Graph and trash on the beach when counted

50 Points

In the Scientific Method, we draw our ________ when we decide what it all means (Did you support your hypothesis?)

50 Points

What is Conclusion

10 Points Meters, Liters, and Grams…

The Metric system is based on measurement units of _________

10 Points

What is based on 10’s

20 Points

Convert 3.3 meters to millimeters

20 Points

What is 3, 300 millimeters

30 Points

Convert .23 hectograms to centigrams

30 Points

What is 2,300 centigrams

40 Points

Convert .05 kiloliters to all SI Units

40 Points

.05 is .5, 5, 50, 500, 5000, and 50,000

50 Points

This unit of measurement is used to measure liquid volume

50 Points

What is the liter

10 points-Force and Motion

Newton's 1st Law is referred to as

10 pts.

What is Law of Inertia

20 pts

The second law of motion is

20 pts

What is Force= Mass X Acceleration

30 Points- What Law is being represented here?

30 points

Third Law or Action-Reaction

40 points

Surface resistance between two objects is known as

40 points

What is Friction

50 Points

This picture represents what type of motion

50 Points

What is vertical motion

What about matter 10 points

The hottest state of Matter with the most Kinetic Energy

10 points

What is Plasma

20 points

The States of Matter that have definite shape and volume

20 points

BEC and Solid

30 points

Having Mass and taking up space is _________

30 points

What is Matter

40 Points

Two or more elements come together to make a _________ like H₂O

40 points

What is a compound

50 Points

The difference between a homogeneous mixture and a heterogeneous mixture

50 Points

Homogeneous-can’t see what’s in it like Gatorade, Heterogeneous-can see it’s parts like a salad

Pot Luck-10

Heat causes things to expand and cold contracts

10

What is thermal expansion

20

A speed at a given moment is

20

What is instantaneous speed

30

Did you have fun with _________ when we calculated the mass per unit volume

30

What is density

40

A liquid changes to a gas like when we sweat

40

Evaporation

50

Describe conduction vs. Convection with our pots of water

50

• Conduction is when particles get hot at the bottom of the pot first and start to rise up. They then transfer energy to cold particles, process goes on and on until entire pot is heated up.

• Convection is much faster because the water moves in big currents. The bottom gets hot first and rises up while the cold water moves down. The process repeats itself until pot is entirely heated.

Final Jeopardy

Make your wagers, get a piece of paper and write your group name down.

Final question

Velocity = Distance/Time, Force=Mass X Acceleration and Work = Force X Distance

If a paper airplane flies at a rate of 10.3 meters in 2.4 seconds and the mass of the plane is 20 grams. Calculate the plane’s velocity and force. If the plane flew an additional 15 meters, how much work was done?

Did you say?

V= 4.3 m/sF = 86W = 2175.8
