• created bioinformatics exhibit kiosk for exploratorium

• experimented with variety of genomic data

• finally chose ENSEMBL combined with 2 other databases to provide museum visitors with a way to easily search the entire human genome (flash, php, mysql)

• focus on rebuilding skills of observation, listening, patience and relationships with outside world

• method for encouraging participation in local conservation, naturalist societies and ‘itinerant naturalist’ walks

• interested in exploring ways of incorporating EoL information for enriched understanding of local and very common species (esp. location sensitive data)

• could use more information about species characteristics in relation to taxonomies

• want to create open, exchangeable data about events and phenological observations made by our beginner users
