OverviewOverview

• Cement production involves the processing of selected mineral raw materials to produce a synthetic mineral mixture (clinker) that can be ground to powder having the specified chemical composition and physical properties of cement.

• Raw material needed for cement manufacturing are extracted from earth’s surface through mining i.e. cement quarry operations

Planning and operational tasks in cement quarry operationsPlanning and operational tasks in cement quarry operations

Long term planning and design Short term operational task

Truck / dumper fleet management Cost minimization to ensure lowest operating cost Data storage, visualization and reporting

Operational Control of Quarry EquipmentOperational Control of Quarry Equipment

Mining involves worlds largest earth moving machinery Optimum use of loading and haulage equipment.

Operational Control of Quarry EquipmentOperational Control of Quarry Equipment

Quarry operations involves a variety of machinery

Operational Control in Cement Quarry Operations Using Operational Control in Cement Quarry Operations Using Remote Sensing (GPS) and GISRemote Sensing (GPS) and GIS

GPS assisted mapping of quarry and truck operations Accounting efficiency of truck and shovel operations

GIS and RS Assisted Quarry OperationsGIS and RS Assisted Quarry Operations

Equipment details:Number of Loading equipments = 5Number of Dump trucks = 12Number of drilling units = 4Number of dozers = 2Number of oil and water tankers = 2

Total Machines = 23

Requirements:Satellite image (High resolution) of 10 Square KilometerTracking of all the equipment i.e. 25 unitsSending instructions to machine operators Data / Report to be generated includes:

Number of trips by each truckCycle time of each trip ( i.e. Loading + Haulage + Unloading + queue times)Hours of operation per shiftIndication after completion of a certain hours of operation

What would be the estimated cost of this system ?
