Case Study

RS115 DF Retention Socket | Bournemouth

Project: Traffic Signal Pole KnockdownProduct: RS115 Retention Socket Duck Foot BendClient: Bournemouth Borough Council

Retention Sockets have been used in Bournemouth to house their traffic signal poles for many years. Recently they were put to the test when a signal pole was knocked down by a car. As the signal pole was lying flat and a health and safety issue, it was imperative that the signal was removed and replaced quickly. The Retention Socket side chamber is opened and two retaining bolts are loosened allowing the pole to be removed. A new pole was quickly installed allowing this crossing point to be opened within hours.
