FINDING PERSPECTIVE FOR NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL

NEWS WHY TO DO

SO????

PEMRA BEING AUTHORITY SAYS COMMUNITY BROADCASTER

CONTENTS…… CANNOT DO NATIONAL &

INTERNATIONAL STUFF………

NEWS COMMUNITY NEWS

  MIXING OF ELEMENTS

Journey from A villager to THE vagabond

Mixed Elements represents the new property…

So, Community NEWS is Different from Mainstream NEWS

NEWS IS……………………………………………………………………………….…………………………………………………………………………………………..………………………………………………………………………………………..(Values Filter)

Community News is:

Something, Someone, Somewhere in the community wants to express persuasively outside the bubble

SOMETHING: CAN BE NATIONAL & INTERNATIONALSOMEONE: AUTHORITIES- Victims= SubjectsSOMEWHERE: more related to SUBJECTS PlacesBUBBLE: my favorite explanation is: people become extremely depressed because of the delusion- bubble bursting- as they return to a more every day type of consciousness.

Simple explanation is: one gives you logic the other stubbornness in the name of so called experience.

Professionalism vs. Vocational-ism

MY STORY………….

The most important outcome is:

PERSPECTIVE VS. PERCEPTION

OUTCOMES: Logic Vs Perception

Exercise:

We need Perspective…. To do Radio…talk Shows, News, Feature, presentations & documentaries……etc

Bring it to your setting- (the angle & proximity formula)See ( something)

HOW TO ADD LOCAL PERSPECTIVE TO NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL NEWS……

1.Play with structure of your story

1.Play with the format of your story

TWO SMART WAYS OF DOING THIS:

An alternative method (to Inverted Pyramid) is the Narrative or Story-telling approach. Narration uses scenes and dialogue to build up to a climax. People are prominent in the story, and they are responsible for the action. The sentences are in Subject-Verb-Object formation; and the stories have four distinct parts:

Structure of Radio Story…

Beginning (which introduces/tells the news quickly or tells the story with the use of a personal story or a real life situation that is happening right now.

Context (which explains how this particular story fits into a larger scheme of things.Middle/Climax (which explores tension in the story through differing points of view).Resolution –a real ending to the story.

Manipulate the openingManipulate the climaxPush the actual story into context
