The Left atriumThe Circulatory

System starts in the heart and blood starts pushing out of the left atrium when the heart beats. The circulatory system can start anywhere because it goes round and round.

The Left VentricleThen the blood

travels into the left ventricle but only when the heart beats. Then the blood moves from the left ventricle to the artery.

The exchange systemThen the exchange system starts and it makes

cells break down sugar to get energy. Cells need (O2) to do this job. Another thing that happens is that the sugar breakdown is the waste gas carbon dioxide. If the cells don’t get carbon dioxide the will die and if they don’t get rid of the CO2 they will die.

CapillariesThen the blood travels

to the capillaries. The capillaries are so small that you can’t see them, you would need a microscope to even see a tiny bit.

Then the blood travels from the left ventricle into the artery and then the blood travels to the capillaries.

Then it travels from the capillaries to the vein which gives blood to the right atrium.

Then it moves from the right atrium when the heart beats it then will go to the right ventricle

Red blood cellsThe red blood cells

are the things that travel to and from the body parts. One drop of blood contains more than 1 million blood cells. Red blood cells are constantly moving around delivering oxygen to all of the body parts.

Then…After all of that it goes

all around and the cycle never tops until you die and your heart stops beating.

And that’s how the Circulatory System works!!!
