Adolph Hitler was born on April twentieth of the year 1889. He was born an Austrian to Alois Schickelgruber and Klara Hitler. Hitler was the fourth child born in his family, and shortly after his birth two of his siblings died of diphtheria. Hitler was loved and nurtured by his mother.

Hitler was gifted with the silver tongue: an excellent orator with much charisma. His Party was highly organized, and his policies simple.

Using such Traits, Hitler manipulated the people to overtake Germany.

Germany was faced with many problems after WWI. They had to face war guilt, pay many expensive Reparations for war damage, and they lost land because of the Treaty of Versailles.

On June 28, 1919, Germany and the Allied Nations (including Britain, France, Italy and Russia) signed the Treaty of Versailles, formally ending the war.

The Germans paid dearly.

Reparations are payments made form one country to another after war because of damages done by the invading army. Germany had to make many Reparations after WWI and they went into very deep debt.

“Mein Kampf” was Hitler’s book. “Mein Kampf” is translated to “My Struggle”, and was originally called “Four years of Struggle Against lies, stupidity, and cowardice.” It outlined his political philosophy that Germans (Aryans) were superior to all other races.

“Every manifestation of human culture, every product of art, science and technical skill, which we see before our eyes today, is almost exclusively the product of Aryan creative power.”

o He warned that Aryan superiority was threatened by intermarriage

o The Aryan race had a duty to control the world

o Aryan superiority was being threatened particularly by the Jewish race

o “Jewish youth lies in wait for hours on end satanically glaring at and spying on the unconscious girl whom he plans to seduce, adulterating her blood with the ultimate idea of bastardizing the white race, which they hate and thus lowering it’s cultural and political level so that the Jew might dominate.”

According to Hitler , Jews were responsible for all he disapproved of.

o Modern art

oPornography

oProstitution

Hitler also alleged that Jews were responsible for losing WWI. He believed that Jews were involved with Communists in conspiracy to take over the world.

Nazism began in Bavaria as a minority party called the German Worker Party.

Later renamed as the National and Socialist German Workers party.

Under the Leader of Hitler, Nazism gained power, and controlled Germany.

The Great Depression lead to a recall of short term American loans that helped fuel Germany’s economic prosperity. Nazi’s blamed the Versailles settlement, the Weimer system, and the Jews, by doing so, they gained support of the lower and middle class, and by promising to eliminate the Weimer System.

The Great Depression helped the Nazi’s in that the people would do anything to get out of that state. The German people wanted someone to promise them for something good and that’s what Hitler and the Nazis did.

The rise in Unemployment and a renewed fear of a Communist uprising gave Hitler's messages a new importance…In a land where the government was struggling to control the economy, the people and the communists any alternative that appears to be willing, and able, to combat the problems, through whatever means, is seen in a very positive light.

Born In the aftermath of the WWI, the Weimer System was a Republic. It was relatively unsuccessful.

Later, it was blamed for the treaty of Versailles, and the overall weakening of Germany.

In September of 1930, The Reichstag, the German Parliament,

was taken over by Hitler.

This was done on January 30, 1933,

When Hitler was appointed Chancellor by

Hindenburg.

Then, the Prussian police was taken over by Nazis, and those who disobey the Nazis are attacked.

On the 23rd. Of March, 1933, the enabling act is passed.

The Enabling Act gave Hitler dictatorship abilities, and has full control of the Reichstag. This event was foreshadowed when Hitler demanded to be the Chancellor of the Reichstag. Now Hitler had complete control of Germany.
