Ohio Agriculture is Ohio’s No. 1 business!Stark County has 6,654 members and of those members
1,122 are farmers and the rest being non-farmers.The Stark County Farm Bureau is a non-profit entity that works on
behalf of the farmers. We represent their interest at all levels of government as a voice for the farmer. We also do lots of
promoting and educating the consumer about the importance of our farmers. We have lots of opportunities to building
leadership and communication skills as well as having fun. The Stark County Farm Bureau puts on an annual drive it
yourself farm tour each October. The intent of this event is to educate the public about what goes on at a farm. They also
provide scholarships for area youth that are attending college in an agricultural field. The overall goal of the organization
is to help the consumer better understand the practices that make up agriculture. We want to show the consumer how we do it and that we do it with their and our best interest at heart. We care for the food and animals we raise and take pride in
offering a great locally grown product.

Why join
Ohio Farm Bureau?Who is
Ohio Farm Bureau? We believe that people have the power to shape the world in which they live. And that when they’re given a place where they can work together, they have the abil-ity to solve their own problems. Ohio Farm Bureau exists so peo-ple can put ideas into action and bring about a better, more secure way of life.
The mission of Ohio Farm Bureau is to forge a partnership between farmers and consumers. This means advocating for Ohio’s farm families on issues that help them in business and in turn provide consumers a wide variety of food choices.
Since 1919, Ohio Farm Bureau has worked to make Ohio a great place to call home—and it doesn’t matter if you’re a farmer who produces food or a customer who purchases it. There’s a place for you in Farm Bureau.
Our members include farmers, gardeners, food and wine enthusiasts, teachers and more.Every county has its own board of trustees and volunteers who determine and lead local initiatives. Ohio Farm Bureau has a state board of trustees whose 26 elected farmer members govern the organization.
