• This course is designed to build on you confidence from the 1st Year course.

• Your progress starts from the last lesson of the 1st year.

• We will look at working life, Group Projects, Leisure Time, Services and Systems, and maybe Customers if we have time!!

• All four skills of Speaking, Reading, Listening and Writing will be used in tests and final examinations

Business English III – Semester I

Course Assessment1. Multiple Class Test and Attitude = 60%

This can be:

Watch and listen to online materials and write your opinions and summaries of the material.

5% each assignment x 4 = 20%

3. Final Business English Presentation of the Speech = 20%

In teams write a speech to sell a product using zoom, submit a video recording, a PowerPoint

and a script

Using memorized phrases in a speech is a good way to combine nature speaking with new styles of speech.

Remember the recitation from the 1st year -

You had to try to memorize some sentences and repeat them perfectly with a good clear voice. Now you have to combine them into an effective presentation technique.

We will grade it all together as a class and I will grade too.

How we grade……

1. Let’s get into teams of four or five

2. Each member has to choose a section of the text

3. We will listen to each other and grade the speech

4. Then we will divide the scores to make 10%
