BRENE BROWNIs a research professor who has spent a decade studying vulnerability, courage, authenticity, shame and empathy at the University of Houston, Texas.

Brene talks about why vulnerability is necessary to feel belonging and joy. That vulnerability is neither comfortable or excruciating. That the way to live is with vulnerability.

Her job being a researcher, was to control and predict. Discovering that the way to live is with vulnerability and to stop controlling and predicting.

She spent an entire year struggling with vulnerability. Fighting with it until she eventually lost. Brene however gained her life back.

HOW THEY COMPARE:Both Brene Brown and Ken Robinson are excellent speakers. They provide humor and storytelling to there speaks. Truly passionate about their work, they speak both speak honestly, and calmly.

HOW THEY DIFFER:Ken Robinson talked with a more urgent tone. The urgent and dramatic changes need for the educational system. He also had a more laidback delivery style. That slowly changed to urgent as he spoke.

Brene Brown spoke more softly. Since her topic was about vulnerability and the emotions that comes with it. Her delivery was smoother and got more meaningful as the time went on.
