Intensified collaboration between stakeholders involved in innovations in the field of biopolymers.

Products made out of biopolymers focusing on the needs of the food, cosmetics and health-related industries. The established BioApp platform is closing the gap between the researchideas for the utilization of advanced biopolymers, smart materials from different biomasssources, and their final market application. The know-how is related to find the niches for theiruse and provide the scientific breakthrough for the selected business cases.

2020 - BIOPOLYMERS NOW AND BEYOND

Biomaterials value-chain

The presented „from lab to market“ caseswithin the BioApp platform represent a

transformation of the biopolymers to the products such as active, smart, zero-waste

packaging and biomedical materials.

BioApp contribution starts in the middle of the

biomaterial value chains („valley of death“).

Biomedical applicationBiocompatiblemembranes for in situ release (e.g. antibiotics, bioactive

macromolecules/compounds)

Implantable membranes for the treatment of cartilage defects• Dermal filler• Soft/hard tissue filler • Matrix for composite filler• Topical/wound healing gel• Viscosupplementation

Injectable hydrogels based on the Ctl-borax platform

• Aesthetic surgery, • plastic surgery (fillers,

viscosifying agents)• Wound healing (hydrogels,

membranes)• Dental surgery

Scientists against plastic

Getting a scientific award. It's nice 🎖...Getting a reward for your packaging idea. Not bad 🏆...Getting invited to give a TEDx talk to share your vision. Great ...Showing your products to the public and receiving feedbacks: „I want to have this, this will change the world.“ That's the one👍
