"Two Feathers in the Wind"

“Dos Plumas al Viento” -“Two Feathers in

the Wind” is the Theme of Billingham Festi-

val 2015, creating a framework for our Fes-

tival programme and weaving though all

festival concerts and activities.

Two feathers flown by the wind around the

World, their journey portrayed through

music, dance, spoken word, poetry and vis-

ual arts.

Each festival concert and event will become

part of the Theme, telling a new Chapter of

the Story of “Dos Plumas al Viento”, culmi-

nating in specially choreographed Gala

Performances, which will involve all the

festival participants.

World Dance Gala Concerts

“Dos Plumas al Viento” World Dance Galas will feature all international dance

companies presented by Ballet Folklorico Tupa Marka (Chile) following the

journey of two feathers through the legends of all participating countries por-

trayed through original choreography to specially written music, performed

by live orchestra, framing performances of each International dance compa-

ny, taking the audience on amazing, thrilling and captivating dance journey

“Dos Plumas al Viento” World Dance Galas will be performed at two venues

Middlesbrough Theatre and Forum Theatre, Billingham.
