Background
Within the existing luxury resort community of Albany, BHM werecommissioned to construct new beach cottage properties. Albany isa 585 acre resort boasting a marina, golf course, equestrian andfitness center amongst many other facilities. The properties featuretradltlonal Bahamlan architecture and offer spectacular views of themarina and golf course.
Project Description
BHM was appointed by Albany Developer Ltd for the construction of 5 bedroom beach club cottages on their prestigious AlbanyDevelopment in Nassau.The scope of works for the cottages included:
• Blockwork structure with render finish
• Architectural glazing• Installation of high end specification interior finishes
and appliances
• Cabana and Private swimming pool
• Decorative paving and landscaplng.

BEC Skyline Substation & Generator Farm BHM CO. LTD
Background
BHM completed the $4.5million construction of the new BEC Skyline Substation and Generator farm complex to facilitate HV Asset relocation required as part of the infrastructure works required for the Bahamar Development. BHM worked closely with BEC and the Client to coordinate the installation of infrastructure to supply the various transformers and control buildings.
Project Description
BHM were appointed by Baha Mar Ltd for the construction of this new substation complex. The project included:
• Substructure to receive enclosures
• Control buildings
• Extensive insitu concrete duct trenches
• Construction of 7 Modular substation enclosures
• Construction of 4 generator enclosures
• Ancillary services to the site including street lightingdrainage and metalwork
• Landscaping
• Construction of new access road and laydown areas
• Boundary wall and security fencing

Background
Having completed work for Waterfront Marine Ltd previously, BHM were appointed to construct the Dockmaster building to service the prominent 89 berth Marina in Bay Street, Nassau. In keeping with local Bahamian architecture, the building included Dockmaster’s office, Fitness Centre, Pool, TV room, shower, kitchen and laundry facllltles.
Project Description
The scope of works for the Dockmaster’s Quarters included:
• Sheet piling to form concrete promenade
• Importing of fill and ground compaction
• Utilities to the building
• Erection of timber frame structure
• Architectural glazing and limber cladding
• All interior fit out
• Installation of high end specification interior finishesand appliances
• Car parking and decorative landscaping.

Background
Within the existing luxury community of Lyford Cay in the Bahamas, BHM were commissioned to construct a new high quality bespoke residence and adjoining guest cottage. Lyford Cay is an established premier community boasting a marina, golf course, Private Club House, amongst many other facilities. The properties within Lyford Cay, feature traditional and non-traditional Bahamian architecture and offer views of the marina and golf course and mature landscapes. Project Description
BHM was appointed by the Client Representatives for the construction of this Ultra High End residence in the prestigious Lyford Cay subdivision in Nassau.
The scope of works for the property included;
• Demolition of existing property
• Earthworks
• Reinforced concrete and blockwork structure with render finish
• Architectural glazing and bespoke external finishes
• Installation of high end specification interior finishes, appliances and fixtures
• Private swimming pool and gazebo
• Driveway and walkways
• Decorative paving and landscaping.

Independence Business Park was created to address the growingneeds of the local business community. Flexibility of the space wasimportant to our client to allow customization of the units toaccommodate larger businesses in the future. Completed in May 2010, this faclllty now provides accommodation for a range of businesses induding Dunkin Domuts, Cable Bahamas, Mac Fit 360, Newlife Natural Vegetation, Insurance Company of the West Indies (ICWI), New Life Restoration Ministries and Nautical Boutique.
Project Description
BHM was appointed by a Private Developer for the construction of anew 30,000 sq ft development comprising 2 separate retail buildings.The scope of works for this $5.5mllllon scheme included:
• Initial site clearance and preparation
• Bulk earthworks
• Site infrastructure and utilities
• Erection of steel frame
• Interior and exterior block work
• Envelope finishes including cladding, roofing, hurricaneresistant glazing and doors

Background
Lucayan Tropical Produce was fonnad with the aim of improving the quality of produce available in the Bahamas. The construction of a Hydroponic Greenhouse by BHM allowed this aim to be achieved. “Hydroponic” fanning involves innovative techniques where solution is used rather than soil. This method isolates the plant from the ground, thereby ellmlnating sources of disease. This results in significant gains in terms of both yield and quality of produce for example soil typically produces 5-10 tonnes of tomato per acre per annum, hydroponic can exceed 200 tonnes per acre per annum.
Project Description
BHM was contracted by Lucayan Tropical Produce Ltd for the construction of a six acre state of the art hydroponic farm, the first of its kind in the Bahamas. The works for this innovative $12 million project included:
• Bulk earthworks
• Site infrastructure and utilities
• Installation of 1 million gallon rainwater harvesting tanks
• Erection of hurricane resistant galvanized steel andaluminum structure
• Glazed cladding and roofing
