PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Once a small quiet fishing outpost along the coast of Uruguay, Jose Ignacio has evovled intot he most popular vacation destination in Latin America. This small village community has become favored by the wealthy from around the world to own vacation homes and rental property overlooking the sea. Because of this growing trend our client commissioned us to design 3 product types with 2 main floor plans for each, from the smallest to the largest: casitas, villas and estates. Similiar to the weather in Southern California, Uruguay has comfortably warm summers and mild winters so our objective was to create a program allowing indoor and outdoor spaces to flow freely together, engage the site from various front, side, and rear orientations, while tasking advantage of ocean views and creating a village historic to the region.

PROJECT ROLE: Responsible for creating 3d model to investigate potential designissues and aid project manager in the overall development of the project. Developed renderings with various color variations to aid client in understanding overall project massingand esthetics. Created marketing material for website and signage for construction site.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: At a glance, the Villas at Pacific Shores appear to be detached housing, with 3 highly stylized coastal, spanish, and andalusian elevations, varying heights, and deep setbacks. Yet the develop-ment is an attached community that comfort-ably fits 10 spacious units to the acre. Inside, the similarities to detached living continue, with a traditional foyers leading to spacious great room,s kitchens with a large islands and break-fast nooks, and covered patios and courtyards on the side of the units. In all, the plan 3 model--the largets of three plans offered at 4,142 sq ft-- features four covered decks to enable residents to take in the community’s coastal setting, which is only three blocks from the beach. The unit offers five bedroom, including a second-floor master suite with an adjacent laundry room, as well as five and a half baths, a three-car garage, and an optional lofty in lieu of the third-floor bedroom.
