Basically making friends and connections virtually versus in person
Through networks you get things done but in real life connections are hidden
Online you can generally see everybody’s connections (depends on network)

Your experience is your resume. Make sure you include titles,
experience, successes, jobs, positions, etc. Be concise and choose your words carefully. Make it success oriented.
Use examples of successes. People relate to stories. Don’t just
say “managed” or “sold to”, say why your customers/manager were happy with you, your service or product.
Think Sales, Marketing, Problem Solving – You are the product and the solution.

Tip: Ask people for recommendations. Offer to write the recommendation of yourself for them and suggest they put it in their own words. Get at least 5 to 10. Email your request directly instead of asking through LI or call (what a concept).
